SPECIES

ASH
The king of the firewood:
High heat and Easy to Use.
Ash offers a perfect balance of high thermal output and easy processing. It splits readily and burns hot and steadily, even slightly less seasoned than other dense hardwoods. A reliable choice for efficient heating

ALDER
The Aromatic Choice:
Moderate Heat and Clean Burn.
A softer hardwood that is favored for its clean burn and aromatic properties. While its heat output is lower than oak or ash, Alder is often chosen for open fireplaces where the mild, sweet fragrance is appreciated. It is also the traditional choice for smoking meat and fish.

BIRCH
The Quick Starter:
Vibrant Flame and Easy Ignition.
Highly prized for its ease of ignition and visual appeal. Birch is ideal for starting fires quickly and adding immediate warmth and brightness to a room. Its distinctive papery bark is excellent tinder. Due to its medium density, it burns faster than oak or ash.

OAK
The Longest Burner:
Exceptional, Sustained Heat.
The densest and heaviest option. Oak requires the longest seasoning period, but the investment in time pays off with the highest sustained heat output and the longest coaling period. It is the premier choice for all-night heating and primary heat sources.

We offer split firewood from various hardwoods locally.
It is possible to choose from species, length, and the split of your choice. Our offered range is suitable for heating stoves, saunas and fireplaces.
